Cooling the pellets
Since the dried pellets are too hot and insufficiently hardened to be stored or to be further processed, it is necessary to cool them first.
In the image below the cooler is depicted which receives the pellets from the drier. In the upper left corner the bottom of the coater is also visible.
In the cooler the pellets are spread out like a carpet over a meshed conveyor belt. Surrounding cool air is sucked through this belt. The hot air escapes through the top of the cooler.
Due to the cooling the pellet is hardened and ready for packaging or crumbling.
